Aims and Scope

Natura Dinarica is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original contributions in forestry, environmental sciences, nature conservation, and related disciplines. The journal aims to promote scientific and professional knowledge related to forest ecosystems, biodiversity, natural resources, environmental protection, sustainable management, and the relationship between society and nature, with particular attention to the Dinaric region and Southeast Europe, while remaining open to contributions of broader international relevance.

The journal publishes original scientific papers, preliminary communications, review papers, and professional papers covering topics such as general forestry, ecology, vegetation science, botany, zoology, biodiversity conservation, landscape architecture, wildlife management, geology, hydrology, soil science, climate change impacts, GIS and remote sensing, environmental monitoring, nature protection, restoration, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, and sustainable natural resource management.

The journal also encourages interdisciplinary contributions addressing public participation, citizen science, environmental education, social responsibility, equity, and the societal dimensions of nature conservation and environmental management.

The journal welcomes field-based, experimental, methodological, spatial, theoretical, and applied studies. Contributions may address local, regional, or international topics, provided that they offer clear scientific, methodological, or practical relevance.

Natura Dinarica particularly encourages manuscripts that contribute to the understanding, conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of natural ecosystems and biodiversity in the Dinaric region, the Balkans, and comparable environments worldwide.
